TEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- Commander-in-chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi said here on Sunday that Iranian military forces are fully prepared to defend the country against all types of threats and enemies.
The General noted the recent victories of the Lebanese Hezbollah, and stressed, “If Americans and Zionists take a chance on Iran, they will have to face a crushing defeat much bigger than that of Iraq.”
He said a look at the last 27 years suffices to discourage enemies from invading Iran, and reminded, “The great Iranian nation, enjoying such powerful deterrent forces as the IRGC and Baseej (Mobilized troops), does not let the enemy even think of invading Iran.”
The commander underlined that the Islamic nations of Iraq, Afghanistan and Lebanon are following suit, concluding that these nations will finally defeat the US and Israel.
