Haddad Adel Confers with Omani Vice Speaker

A0108937.jpgTEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- Iranian Parliament Speaker Gholam Ali Haddad Adel met with the vice-speaker of the Omani Parliament on the sidelines of the 7th Conference of the General Assembly of Association of Asian Parliaments for Peace (AAPP) here in Tehran Sunday night.

A statement released by the Information and Media Department of the Islamic Consultative Assembly said that also during the meeting, Haddad Adel appreciated the Omani legislative official for attending the AAPP conference, and viewed the two countries’ ties as friendly, moderate and constructive.

He said Iran-Oman ties have also left positive effects on the development of Tehran’s friendly relations with the Persian Gulf littoral states.

Haddad Adel expressed the hope that the problems of the Muslim states would be removed and peace, stability and tranquility would be established all throughout the world of Islam in light of the unity of the world Muslim states.

He also extended his congratulations to his Omani counterpart for the 50th anniversary of the establishment of that country’s parliament.

For his part, Vice-Speaker of Oman’s parliament, Eshagh bin Salem al-Siabi appreciated the Iranian parliament for hosting the 7th conference of the Association of the Asian Parliaments for Peace, and described Iran’s ancient civilization and the Iranian parliament’s one-hundred years of experience as valuable reserves for all Islamic countries.
