TEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- Iran’s Expediency Council Chairman Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, in a meeting with Palestinian Prime Minister Ismayil Haniyah here on Saturday, called on the Palestinians to keep up their guard against the US and Israelis’ plots and conspiracies.
 Rafsanjani described Palestinians as a faithful, patient and freedom-fighting nation, which is decisive to embrace victory despite all the problems, agonies, hunger, economic sanctions and assassination of its statesmen and people by the Israeli regime.
“As the campaign against the Zionist regime widens, Palestinians will have to face more cumbersome, but meantime more promising, days,” the official stressed.
For his part, Palestinian Prime Minister reiterated that his nation would keep up fighting against the Zionist regime until it gains victory, but meantime stressed that preventing the US and Israel from achieving their devilish goals requires unity of the Arab nations, Palestinians in particular.
He praised Iran’s supports for the Palestinian nation, and underlined Iran’s significant role as an influential power in the region and particularly among Muslim states.
“An overall look at the Middle-East developments indicates that a collective measure by the world of Islam can reduce the problems and hardships of the Palestinian nation,” Haniyah concluded.
