Chad Calls for Expansion of All-Out Ties with Iran

Chadian Foreign Minister Ahmad Allam-mi noted Iran’s significant role in the world and the region, and called for the expansion of all-out ties with the Islamic Republic. He made the remarks in a meeting with his Iranian counterpart Manouchehr Mottaki here in Tehran on Monday, a report released by the Foreign Ministry’s Information and Press Bureau said.

During the meeting, Mottaki stressed the two countries’ cordial and friendly ties, and underlined the Iranian government’s special attention to the African continent and its potentials.

He described arrangement and holding of trade fairs and exhibitions by Iran as a step laying the ground for the bolstering of cooperation and transfer of Iran’s experiences and technical know-how to Chad.

“Today, products of the Islamic Republic of Iran have gained access to the markets of many world countries, including those in the African continent, given their competitive prices and qualities,” Mottaki mentioned.

Stressing that there resides no impediment in the way of the expansion of cooperation between Iran and Chad, he said that his country will make efforts, alongside the two sides’ desirable political relations, to take fresh steps in trade and economic grounds to further expand Tehran-N’djamena ties in all areas.

For his part, Chadian foreign minister welcomed development of all-out ties with Iran, and noting Iran’s special significance in the regional and international arena, he called for the boosting and bolstering of relations between the two countries in all spheres.

Ahmad Allam-mi also viewed expansion of trade between Iran and Chad as important, and added, “The warm welcome Chadian people have extended to the Iranian goods and commodities displayed and supplied in different fairs and exhibitions indicates the fact that the Chadian nation favors continued presence and activity of Iranian companies and supply of Iranian goods in our country.”
