International and legal deputy of the Iranian foreign ministry Seyed Abbas Araghchi said that non-issuance of entry visa for the Iranian president and the accompanying delegation by the US is some kind of a hostile policy in connection with Iran’s peaceful nuclear program. Araghchi further expressed regret over lack of cooperation by the US administration for issuing an entry visa for the Iranian president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his accompanying delegation and stated, “Although the administrative processes had been completed and despite the media-based promises the US officials had given to issue entry visa for the Iranian delegation, to this date no entry visa has been issued for the honorable president of the Islamic Republic of Iran and his accompanying delegation.”
He further stated, “It appears that the American officials have resorted to obstructionism in pursuit of their unilateral policies and in order to prevent the honorable president of the Islamic Republic of Iran from elaborating Iran’s stances and revealing realities.”
Araghchi termed such approaches to be in contradiction with the UN consulate rules and some kind of a hostile policy in connection with Iran’s peaceful nuclear program.
