Iranian DM Meets Tajik President

Iran’s visiting Defense Minister Brigadier General Mostafa Mohammad Najjar met with Tajikistan’s President Emomali Rahmonov in Dushanbe on Monday. During the meeting, Najjar, who is heading a senior delegation in his visit to Dushanbe, discussed the two countries’ bilateral and defense ties with President Rahmonov.

Prior to the meeting, the defense minister and his entourage laid a wreath at Amir Esma’eel Samani’s monument in the Dousti (Friendship) square of Dushanbe as a sign of respect for the national symbol of the Tajik nation.

During his sojourn in Tajikistan, the Iranian General is also due to pay visits to different military centers, including the military college of Dushanbe.
