Constructive and rich interaction with other world civilizations has been the secret to the success of Iranians’ cultural identity, Iran’s Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said. Mottaki made the remarks in a meeting in Stockholm with Iranians residing in Sweden, a report released by the Foreign Ministry’s Information and Press Bureau said.
During the meeting, Mottaki noted the standing of Iranians living abroad, and said, “Iranian identity has always proved useful and valuable in every part of the world.”
“The constructive and rich interaction of the Iranians with the other rich civilizations of the world has served as the key to the successful preservation of Iranians’ several-thousand-year-old cultural and civilization identity,” he added.
The minister further pointed to Iranians’ positive effects on their surrounding environment and the world community, and said, “Due to their ample competencies and aptitudes, Iranians have influenced development, progress and welfare of the world community in a positive and constructive manner, and these potentials can pave the way for the sustainable development of their own land as well.”
He further pointed to the new directives issued for the swift and prompt presentation of facilities to the Iranians by the ministry of foreign affairs, and said that his consulate department will increase and extend provision of facilities to Iranians.
Also during the same meeting, the Islamic Republic ambassador to Sweden Qashqavi briefed the foreign minister about the conditions of the Iranians in Sweden and their scientific and vocational conditions and achievements.
