Head of Iran-Iraq Friendship Group Calls for Stability in Iraq

A01850212.jpgHead of Iran-Iraq friendship association Ali Agha-Mohammadi in a meeting with the Prime Minister of the local government of Iraq’s Kurdistan, Nichervan Barezani, on Wednesday stressed the need for the restoration of calm and stability in Iraq. During the meeting, where the two sides explored avenues for the deepening and expansion of mutual ties, Ali Agha-Mohammadi also laid emphasis on Iraq’s territorial integrity and solidarity.

He also reminded that in addition to its friendly ties with Iraq in all the political, economic and social grounds, the Islamic Republic of Iran is seriously pursuing participation in the reconstruction of Iraq through its private sector and the two countries’ friendship association.

Barezani, for his part, stressed the significance of the visit to Iraq by the friendship association.
