According to the trade and economic agreements made by Iran and Pakistan, the two countries are due to increase their present trade volume of $600m to $1b, Pakistan’s consul general said“To this end, the two sides have reduced their customs tariffs to a minimum level of 409 items so as to set specific rules for their mutual trade ties,” Mohammad Tareq told reporters in Iran’s southeastern provincial capital city of Zahedan, Sistan and Balouchestan on Thursday.
He further said that both his government and nation attach special significance to Sistan and Balouchestan province and Iran, reminding that half of the two countries’ economic exchanges take place via Sistan and Balouchestan province.
The envoy also said that the press can further introduce potentials of both countries and facilitate mutual relations between the two sides.
He also said that the two nations’ cultural and ethnic commonalities can help Iran and Pakistan double their mutual cooperation, stressing that Iran’s progress and development is a source of pleasure for his country.
