Iran’s N. Power Plant Enjoys High Safety Codes

TEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- Omani Foreign Minister Yusef Bin Alawi described Iran’s nuclear power plant in Bushehr as highly safe, stressing that there is no need for the inspection of Bushehr.

“We believe that inspection (of Bushehr nuclear power plant) is not needed because we are confident that this power plant enjoys high and sufficient safety codes,” Bin Alawi told reporters during a joint press conference with his Iranian counterpart Manouchehr Mottaki here on Tuesday, where he was asked to comment on Iran’s invitation to the Persian Gulf littoral states to inspect Bushehr atomic power plant.

He further pointed to the common stances of Iran and Oman on the issues of the Middle-East and the world of Islam, and said, “We share this view with our Iranian brothers that we should make every effort in order not to allow instability in the region.”
