Khazayee Leaves for New York

A0005339.jpgTEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- Iran’s new ambassador to the United Nations Organization Mohammad Khazayee left Tehran for New York on Tuesday to start his mission in the world body.

Khazayee told FNA here today that he would start his mission at the UN headquarters in New York on Wednesday.

The envoy declined to reveal his program, saying that he would brief the media in this regard in future.

Khazayee used to serve as the deputy economy minister and president of Iran’s Organization for Investment and Economic and Technical Aids.

He also represented Iran in the World Bank for 13 years.

Khazayee replaced Mohammad Javad Zarif who came back to Tehran last week after heading Iranian mission in New York for five years.
