Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in a message to Heinz Fischer on Friday extended his congratulations to the Austrian president, government and nation on the country’s national day. Also in his message to the Austrian president, Ahmadinejad voiced pleasure with the growing trend of the two countries’ friendly ties, adding that in light of the political resolve and efforts made by the two governments, Iran-Austria relations are, fortunately, moving ahead on the path of mutual understanding, a statement released by the Presidential Press Office said.
He also expressed hope that the two countries’ interests would cause further deepening and consolidation of the two nations’ friendly ties in future.
