President Felicitates Algeria on National Day

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in a message to Abdelaziz Bouteflika on Thursday extended his congratulations to the Algerian president, government and nation on the country’s national day. Also in his message to the Algerian president, Ahmadinejad noted the two countries’ profound historical and cultural commonalities as well as their role in the promotion of the Islamic culture and civilization, and expressed hope that increasing cooperation between the two Muslim states in the various global and regional areas would serve the interests of the Islamic Ummah (nation), a statement released by the Presidential Press Office said.
