TEHRAN (FNA) Iran’s Parliament Speaker Gholam Ali Haddad Adel expressed regret over the Israeli regime’s continued crimes and brutality against Palestinians, and reminded that the city of Gaza is now experiencing an extensive human catastrophe.
Addressing an open session of the Islamic Consultative Assembly here on Monday, Haddad Adel blasted silence and indifference of the international bodies, specially the United Nations, to the Zionist regime’s extensive crimes and massacre of the Palestinians.
He also pointed out that intensification of crimes against Palestinians followed the Middle-East visit of the US president.
“Apparently, Bush’s visit to the region has made the Zionists so much joyous that they have embarked on massacring the Palestinian people. Of course, we do not expect anything else from the US and its allies,” the top legislator said.
He also called on the Islamic and Arab world to show reaction to the Zionist regime’s atrocities against Palestinians, saying, “We are surprised at the indifference shown by those who have shouted support for the Palestinian nation for the last 60 years.”
“We tell the Islamic countries and Arab leaders that Palestinians are the same people whom you said to be defending,” the speaker added.
“Have Palestinians differed from what they were 40 years ago, has any right been given to the Palestinian people, have Palestinian lands been returned to them, what kind of change has happened that Islamic countries have stayed silent over the Zionists’ crimes? Why don’t they show any reaction towards massacre of innocent children of the Islamic nation?” he asked.
Condemning the Zionists’ savage attacks on Gaza Strip, he said, “These days, the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip have become the target of the Israeli attacks more than any other time.”
Haddad Adel warned that the history and more important the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) would not pardon those who keep silent over the Zionists’ crimes.
All the world should shout ‘Down with Israel’ and the world Muslims should impose death on this killing criminal, he reiterated.
