Mottaki Meets Malaysian PM, FM

A02796366.jpgTEHRAN (FNA) – Iran’s foreign minister and Malaysian prime minister in a meeting on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland on Friday discussed arrangement of a ministerial meeting of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC).

During the meeting, the Malaysian premier noted his recent phone talk with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and welcomed Tehran’s proposal for the arrangement of an OIC extraordinary meeting on Palestine, stressing that his country would send an envoy to such a gathering of Muslim states’ foreign ministers.

Elsewhere, the Iranian foreign minister also conferred with his Malaysian counterpart Syed Hamid bin Syed Jaafar Albar about follow-up measures to bilateral agreements.

The two top diplomats also exchanged views about the holding of a meeting of the OIC’s foreign ministers.
