TEHRAN (FNA) – Iran’s Ambassador to Spain Davoud Salehi says Washington is falsely trying to portray Iran’s nuclear activities as ambiguous.
“The US has failed in its colonial policies in Iran and the region; it is using negative propaganda to portray Iran’s nuclear activities as unclear,” press tv quoted Sallehi as saying during a ceremony held in Iran’s Madrid embassy on Thursday.
He restated the country’s peaceful intentions with nuclear technology to meet energy needs for its growing population.
“The Islamic Republic has resolved ambiguities within the IAEA regulations and the NPT, so it has a legitimate right to use nuclear energy.”
Saleh asserted that Iran will spare no effort to build trust as long as the trust-building process is mutual.
