Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad Felicitates Russian President

A01468103.jpgTEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad Sunday extended his congratulations to Dmitry Medvedev on his victory in Russia’s presidential election.

In his message, Ahmadinejad noted the firm determination of the two countries’ leaders to further deepen mutual cooperation, and stressed, “I am confident that practical steps would be taken under the management of Russia’s new president to further deepen relations and utilize the abundant potentials of both countries.”

He also noted Tehran-Moscow expanded ties in bilateral, regional and international grounds, and said that the two states now share most common views in the aforementioned areas.

“The high quality of the talks held in recent weeks (between the two states) over energy, industries and many other projects indicates the serious resolve of the two sides to develop relations,” the Iranian president reiterated.
