TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said here Thursday evening, ”There are many developments in the world today, such as the occurred balances and we cannot speak of them openly yet, but they would be revealed in the future.”
The President added at the opening ceremony of a number of petrochemical and telecommunications projects at Mahshahr Port, “World’s big powers were initially encouraging us to abandon our nuclear program for a whole decade, adding that after that they might agree to include us among countries that have access to nuclear power.”
He said, “In the proposal that the big powers presented to Iran in the year 2005 they openly proposed that we should abandon our nuclear program so that they would send their experts to teach us how to use the Internet and to open the gates of world trade towards our nation.”
Ahmadinejad said, “It was stated in those proposals that if any country would attack Iran using atomic bombs they would permit us to file complaints at the UN Security Council.”
The President reiterated, “The entire world powers gathered together to beat the Iranian nation, but they were not successful in urging the Iranians to bow to their demands and the Iranian nation pushed forth its will all alone, urging them to accept it unwillingly.”
