Iran Invests $30 bln in Tourism

A03825922.jpgTEHRAN (FNA)- Iran has invested 30 billion dollars in its tourist trade in a bid to fortify its place in the world tourism arena in the next 20 years.

Though the tourist trade has yet to be fully established in the Islamic Republic of Iran, there are numerous attractions for travelers who want to witness fabulous historical sites and untouched natural beauty, a press tv report said.

From the famous world renowned architectural wanders of Isfahan and Shiraz, to the less explored villages carved out of the mountains in Kerman, Iran has much to offer and plans to expand its tourist trade to attract at least 5.1 percent of annual travelers and 2 percent of international tourist trade proceeds in the near future.
