Mottaki and Armenian energy minister discuss Caucus peace

TEHRAN, (ISNA)-Iran’s foreign minister and the visiting Armenian energy minister Armen Movsisyan discussed regional topics and bilateral cooperation Sunday in Tehran.

Iran and Armenia could cooperate on achieving a formula for the peace and stability of the important region of Caucus through interaction with other countries, said Manouchehr Mottaki.

Movsisyan on his part described Iran’s geographic and transit position as significant while adding Tehran-Yerevan ties benefit both countries.

Saying regional countries should settle their problems with their own hands he emphasized that Iran’s role in regional arrangements is undeniable.

Movsisyan hoped in the upcoming visit of Armenian foreign minister to Tehran the two sides would exchange ideas on a mechanism that can increase Caucus countries’ deliberation.
