Iran Seeks to Help Security in Caucasus

A0344464.jpgTEHRAN (FNA)- A senior Iranian official said that Tehran is striving to help provide security in the region of Caucasus.

Speaking in a meeting with Armenian Energy Minister Armen Movsisyan, Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Secretary Saeed Jalili referred to Iran’s strategic ties with countries of the region, especially Armenia, and said Iran will do its best to decrease problems of the people in the region, a SNSC public relations office reported on Monday.

The visiting Armenian Energy minister, for his part, noted Iran’s role in regional security arrangements, and praised Iran’s support for the countries of the Caucasus region, especially in hard situations and at times of difficulty.
