The Leader of the Islamic Revolution says moving in line with the charter of the principles prevents Muslims from falling into pitfalls.
The younger generation in Iran is tasked with making enthusiastic efforts to achieve development and establish Justice in the fourth decade of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei told a gathering of university students Sunday.
“The development should be all-out and must envision spiritual and material improvement and the efforts should address social welfare, jobs, and proper scientific development as well as establishing justice, lofty Islamic morals, spirituality, profound faith and growing motivation,” the Leader added.
Ayatollah Khamenei also warned the students against falling for the “superficial western values which are disguised as improvement.”
The Leader also referred to the emergence of thoughts, which do not go against Islamic and Iranian identity but is cynical of the development of the country, as another instance of a pitfall.
Ayatollah Khamenei pointed to the spread of such ideals by some people and said, “Unfortunately, such ideals are termed as realistic views, meaning that Muslims are bound to follow the foothold of Westerners.”
The Leader said contemplation and thinking are crucial for the establishment of an Islamic community and for the achievement of real progress and called for the formation of broad intellectual gatherings among students and seminaries to discuss various topics in order to ‘inject fresh thoughts’ into the community.
