Russia and Serbia will sign on Friday in Moscow an agreement that will enable citizens of both countries to travel without visas.
The Serbian government decided to cancel the mandatory visas for Russians last March. Authorities in Moscow approved the free-visa regime between the two countries last week, a sign of close relations consolidated by Russian support of Belgrade over Kosovo and the sale of Serbian oil monopoly NIS to Russia’s GazpromNeft.
The agreement specifies that citizens will be free to enter and exit the other country freely with valid documents as long as their stay does not exceed 30 days, Tanjug reported. Exceptions are people with diplomatic or official passports, who can stay without visas up to 90 days.
