EU to allot to Bulgaria more compensation funds than the already announced

Vidin. The meeting between Bulgarian Prime Minister Sergey Stanishev and European Commission President Jose Manuel Durao Barroso should be held because there is a discussion at the European Parliament on the economy restoration plan of the European Union, MEP from the Party of European Socialists (PES) Marusiya Lyubcheva said.

She stated that the plan envisages funds that should be allotted to the courtiers as compensations for tackling the after effects of the economy and gas crisis. “The first proposal for Bulgaria envisages extremely little amount of money – BGN 20million. The government and we continued our efforts to expound to the European Parliament and the European commission in charge with the issue that Bulgaria as the most affected country by the gas crisis should receive higher financial support from the European Union”, Lyubcheva commented.
