The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, has called for a fast development of transit-transport cooperation with Bulgaria and Greece in the context of the plans on diversification of energy deliveries to Europe.
Nazarbayev made his statement during the ceremony of presentation of credentials from the Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary Ambassadors of Vietnam, Greece, Bulgaria, Norway, Afghanistan, Lebanon, South Korea and Malaysia, the Kazakhstan’s gazeta.kz internet newspaper reported.
“Transit-transport cooperation in the context of the plans on diversification of energy deliveries to Europe is of special value for Kazakhstan,” Nazarbayev said.
The Ambassador of Bulgaria to Kazakhstan, Stoyan Rizov, said that Bulgaria is interested in the participation of Kazakhstan in oil-and-gas projects in the country.
“Bulgaria is interested in participation of Kazakhstan in energy Bulgarian oil-and-gas projects, including in construction of the oil pipeline Burgas – Aleksandroupolis,” S. Rizov said after the ceremony.
He emphasized that Bulgaria attaches special significance to strengthening relations with Kazakhstan as the key state in Central Asia.
