American Vice President Joe Biden, will begin a diplomatic tour throughout the Balkans, to kick-off in May, media sources reported today.
According to Kosovo’s public station Radio Television Kosovo, Biden will begin his visit in Pristina, scheduled sometime between May 17 -21.
The Serbian daily, Blic, also reported a visit to Belgrade at the end of May, which is meant to heal ties between the US and Serbia, since the two countries have differing stances on the status of Kosovo.
Serbia’s Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic has declared a desire for improving relations between the two states, after meeting with American Deputy Secretary of State James Steinburg, in Washington last week.
Jeremic was not given the chance to meet with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton during his stay in Washington.
Media sources have specified, that it is not sure if Biden will be visiting any other countries in the Balkan region during his diplomatic tour.
