As many as 782,700 voters or 29.9% of the persons with the right to took part in elections by 12.45. The highest turnout of voters was recorded in Basarabeasca district – 42.5%, while the lowest turnout in Hancesti district – 25.7%, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the Central Election Commission (CEC).
A number of 167,407 persons or 27.5% of the voters made their choice in Chisinau. The turnout in the municipality of Balti was 26.0% (27,611 persons), in Rezina – 39.1%, in Ocnita – 38.8%, in Taraclia – 37%.
The CEC secretary Iurie Ciocan said that the voter turnout is better than when the elections were held on Sunday.
For the elections to be validated, the turnout should be 1/3 of the voters.
