NATO days in Georgia were solemnly established in the Courtyard Marriott hotel. NATO information center organized these days. The alliance’s delegation will visit Georgia due to these meetings. NATO Secretary General’s special representative Robert Simmons will join these meetings.
Representatives of Georgian leadership, namely, ambassadors accredited in Georgia, experts and the alliance’s delegation specially arrived from Brussels attended at the opening.
Different meetings, namely conferences, meetings with NGOs, representatives of political parties, etc. are planned to be held within NATO days.
“I consider it an honor to be in Tbilisi today. This meeting is very important. Besides joining the alliance, general philosophic moments, namely NATO as organization, its vision of security, etc. will be considered,” representative of NATO headquarter from public department Michel Duray said.
Information center will visit Kutaisi, Batumi and Gurjaani within NATO week.
NATO days in Georgia will continue till October 9.
