Tiraspol, concerned with Chisinau accusations about the fact Transnistria is responsible of the explosion from 14 October

The Chisinau authorities considered this incident as a “terrorist act”. They also issued a series of versions, including Transnistria’s involvement or terrorist group „Al Qaeda”.

„Tiraspol is concerned about the rethorics of Moldovan authorities, that declared that such details speak about the fact Transnistria is involved in the explosion from the centre of Chisinau on 14 October”, Oleg Beleakov, co-president of the Eastern region Unified Control Committee.

Before that, the Minister of Home Affairs to Chisinau, Victor Catan, declared it did not exclude the fact that Transnistria has something to do with the explosion from Chisinau.

Another representative of UCC on behalf of Transnistria, Oleg Gudamo, declared, cited by Olvia press, that Catan’s statements regarding the fact the grenade that exploded in Chisinau may come from military storage houses from Transnistria are groundless. A the same time, one may easily say that the grenade was brought from any other CIS member state, Gudamo said. He thinks that “these are just versions and nothing more, versions of a bewildered clerk”. On 14 night, a grenade exploded in the centre of Chisinau, in time of the Day of the Town. This incident injured tens of people. The Chisinau authorities considered this incident as a “terrorist act”.
