Azerbaijan proposes to extend transport corridor within CAREC

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Transport proposed to extend the second international transport corridor within the CAREC from its passing through Georgia to Turkey and Europe at the eighth ministerial conference within the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC). 

The Ministry of Transport was represented by head of financial and credit department Faiq Alekperov, the message said on October 23.

Participants of the conference decided to consider these issues at the next meeting.

Representatives from China, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, as well as ADB, IMF attended the conference.
