Tbilisi takes appropriate measures concerning Abkhazia’s transition to area codes: Georgia FM

The Georgian government has taken appropriate measures due to Abkhazia transition to Russian area code, Interior Minister Deputy Nino Kalandadze reported.

Firstly, Tbilisi sent to the Swiss embassy, as a mediator in relations with Russia, a protest note for the Russian Foreign Ministry,

“We also appealed with an official letter to the International Telecommunication Agency under the aegis of the UN. All necessary documents were attached to the letter. Now we are waiting for reply,” Kalandadze said
