Electricity price will not necessarily rise; it might fall, it might keep its level. What is important is for the prices to correspond to the expense and methods, Minister of Economy, Energy and Tourism Traycho Traykov said.
“Until 2020 we plan to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions, increase share of renewable resources, improve energy efficiency, ensure the quality and security of the supplies,” he said.
He notes Bulgaria should have secure supplies at a reasonable price reached in an environmentally friendly way.
“In the area of renewable resources we will work out a map that will show the natural and economic conditions for using a resource, the ability of the network to take it and compliance with the environmental requirements,” the minister said, “The Bulgarian state will institutionally support nuclear energy,” he added.
