Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze will visit France on Thursday, French Foreign Ministry announced Wednesday in a statement.
French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner and his Georgian counterpart will hold talks on bilateral ties and other international issues concerned by both sides.
The two countries will sign a contract on cooperation of interior security to enhance bilateral cooperation on development of police and civil security system.
During Vashadze’s stay in France, his meetings with French President Nicolas Sarkozy, the National Assembly Speaker Bernard Accoyer and Irina Bokova, head of UNESCO, are also on agenda.
After the Georgia-Russia conflict broke out in 2008 August over South Ossetia, France, siding with Georgia, played a spearhead role to broker a ceasefire.
