Kosovo’s Serbs on historic trip to Albania

A delegation of Serbian representatives of Kosovo institutions has embarked on a historic trip to Albania upon an invitation of the government in Tirana.

Kosovo Serb delegation, led by Slobodan Petrovic, Member of Kosovo Assembly Presidency, met with Albanian Foreign Minister Ilir Meta on Tuesday.

Kosovo Serb politicians launched their first ever visit to Albania, widely seen as a historic. The good relations between Kosovo and Albania need to move in a direction of supporting the integration of Serbs in Kosovo, Meta said.

Petrovic, on behalf of Kosovo’s delegation, said he expects success in Tirana and that Kosovo’s ministers will discuss important issues with their counterparts.

Kosovo Serb delegation, including two ministers and one mayor, will be hosted by Albanian Parliament Speaker Josephina Topalli.
