Turkey shows higher interest in Macedonian citizenship

Descendants of Macedonian exiles in Turkey recently started showing great interest in obtaining a Macedonian citizenship and respectively Macedonian passports, which become more and more attractive since Turkey is stillunder visa regime in the EU.

The Macedonian embassy to Ankara confirmed that over the last couple of months, since it was announced that the visa regime will be lifted for Macedonia, Turkish citizens started calling the embassy every day, asking how to meet the conditions for obtaining a Macedonian citizenship.
