The President of the European Court of Human Rights may visit Republic of Moldova

Moldovan interim president Mihai Ghimpu invited the President of the European Court of Human Rights, Jean Paul Costa, to Moldova.

„I invited you to come to Republic of Moldova in February or in another period of time suitable for you”, Mihai Ghimpu said.

Mihai Ghimpu considers that Jean Paul Costa would “consolidate the dialogue between Moldova and ECHR at the highest level”.

Republic of Moldova is among the first ten countries with the biggest number of complaints filed at the European Court of Human Rights.
