EU Enlargement Commissioner Stefan Fule to start Croatia visit on Thursday

EU Enlargement Commissioner Stefan Fule is satisfied with the establishment of the new cooperation with the newly elected Croatian President Ivo Josipovic.

“I’m looking forward to the new cooperation with Croatian President. His inauguration is a good possibility to meet not only with Croatia’s top officials but leaders of the neighboring countries, EU Commissioner Fule said before his arrival to Zagreb.

EU high representative said that he will arrive on Wednesday and will meet with Croatia’s FM Gordan Janronkovic, Minister of Justice Ivan Shimonovic and negotiator Vladimir Drobnjak.

Fule is scheduled to meet with Croatia’s PM Jadranka Kosor on Wednesday.

The European integration is the best way to secure stability and prosperity. That’s my message not only for Croatia but for other countries in the region. EC is the safe partner of the countries which want to join EU. My assignment is to provide a support so that the countries will be able to meet the requirements, Fule said.

After Josipovic’s inauguration, EU Commissioner Fule is expected to arrive in Skopje on Friday.
