UN special envoy in name dispute between Macedonia and Greece, Matthew Nimetz begins his visit to Athens, where he will meet with Greek authorities and discuss name issue under UN auspices.
UN mediator Nimetz is slated to meet with Greece’s Alternative Foreign Minister Dimitris Droutsas.
UN mediator Nimetz meet with Macedonian PM Nikola Gruevski, Macedonian President Gjorgje Ivanov and FM Antonio Milososki during his 2-day visit to Skopje.
The mediator didn’t’ bring any new proposal. He gave only new ideas which will accelerate the name talks. Nimetz concluded that now is the right time to solve name issue.
