Spanish Foreign Minister Miguel Angel Moratinos, whose country holds the rotating EU presidency, is set to visit Macedonia on Tuesday, April 20.
Spain’s chief diplomat will meet with Macedonia’s Foreign Minister Antonio Milososki, President Djorge Ivanov, Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski, Deputy Prime Minister in charge of EU Integration, Vasko Naumovski, as well as with lawmakers at the Macedonian Parliament.
„The visit of Minister Moratinos is highly significant to the Republic of Macedonia given the fact that Spain is the current holder of the European Union presidency. To this end, the discussions will focus on the progress our country has made thus far in the process of integration into the Euro-Atlantic community, including the possibility for launch of Macedonia’s EU accession talks,“ the foreign ministry said in a statement.
