European Commissioner Fuele to visit Kosovo

EU Enlargement Commissioner Stefan Fuele will travel to Pristina and Mitrovica north today and tomorrow on his second official visit to Kosovo.

Commissioner Fuele will meet with Kosovo Prime Minister Hashim Thaci and Kosovo Minister of European Integration Besim Beqaj. He will also meet representatives of the international community in Kosovo.

“During his two day visit, Commissioner Fuele will inaugurate the new EU-funded building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Pristina,” a press release from the European Commission Liaison Office reads.

Fuele will also visit Mitrovica north, where he will give a lecture to university students and pay a visit to the business complex in Zvecan. He will mark Europe Day at a formal reception in Pristina.

Fuele was appointed Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy in February 2010. His first visit to Kosovo was in late March.
