Serbian FM Vuk Jeremić: We depend on Bulgaria’s support for our EU accession

“We had a very good conversation. We discussed mostly strategic issues and the future of the Western Balkans,” Serbian Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremić said during the joint press conference with his Bulgarian counterpart Nikolay Mladenov.

“Belgrade and Sofia have the same opinion and share the same vision on the future of the Western Balkans. Serbia is fully determined to fulfil its strategic and political goal, which is EU membership. The Western Balkans are a turning point, and we need a lot of support and understanding. I am really glad that we can rely on the support of our Neighbour – the Republic of Bulgaria,” Jeremić added.

“We discussed the bilateral relations between Serbia and Bulgaria, and we must point out that there are certain issues, but on the other hand – there are no two countries without any differences. We are ready to continue our negotiations on all levels – governmental and parliamentary,” Vuk Jeremić explained.
