Acting Moldovan president to visit Georgia

Acting Moldovan President Mihai Ghimpu is planning a trip to Georgia. Ghimpu made the announcement today in Chisinau during a meeting with a Georgian delegation. Ghimpu also said that Moldova has already determined “who is a friend and who is not.”

Some 125 Molodovan children will travel from regions that have been heavily affected by floods to Georgia’s Black Sea coast Aug. 6 for a free vacation.

A Georgian village will also be built for Moldovan flood victims upon the initiative of Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili.

A Georgian delegation is now in Chisinau studying the flood situation.
