Former BiH presidency member Ejup Ganic arrived in Sarajevo on Wednesday, a day after winning an extradition battle in the UK. A court in London rejected Serbia’s extradition request, ruling that charges against Ganic could have been politically motivated. He was greeted at Sarajevo Airport by friends and hundreds of supporters. Ganic was arrested at London’s Heathrow Airport on March 1st, based on a warrant issued by Belgrade. Serbia wants him in connection with a May 1992 attack in Sarajevo against a Yugoslav National Army convoy, which left more than 40 soldiers dead.
