France puts breaks on lifting visa regime for citizens of BiH, Albania

France made serious remarks regarding EC report, which read that Albania and Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) have made considerable progress regarding the EU visa liberalization process. Paris raised the question about the efficiency of BiH and Albania in the fight against corruption and crime, their strategy of reintegration the refugees as well as the financing of the political parties.

France’s negative position surprised us all, as the remarks seem unjust, Alexandra Stiglmayer, senior analyst at the European Stability Initiative said.

Now, the question remains open whether France will change its mind and enable the issue on visa liberalization to be put on the agenda during the meeting of the EU Council of Ministers, salted for tomorrow.
