Greece’s position is a name with geographical qualifier for every use, erga omnes. That is our stance and we have no intention to change it. Greek Foreign Minister Dimitris Droutsas made the remarks before the Parliamentary Standing Committee for Defense and Foreign Affairs within the Council of Europe.
He said that Greece is ready for a solution, adding that Greece has already said what the solution will be.
“The Skopje government, with its decisions, keeps the neighboring people far from their European future, a future we support,” he emphasized. “It is widely accepted that Greece has done its share and now it is up to fYRoM to decide what path it wants to follow.
He also expressed satisfaction over the fact that the success of this policy is recognized and that Greece’s positions are convincing third parties, as seen at the recent UN General Assembly meeting.
