Croatia will not participate in Belene NPP

Croatia will not participate in the construction project of Belene nuclear power plant, said the country’s Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor.

Bulgaria offered Serbia and Croatia participation in the nuclear power plant.

“We do not want to participate in the project. We have our own energy strategy we are working on. We also have energy projects we have recently presented,” said Kosor.

She highlighted Croatia would continue its friendly ties with Bulgaria and thanked for the Bulgarian support for her country’s EU accession.
