Montenegrin police have arrested a former member of the paramilitary group The Jackals on suspicion of 1999 war crimes against Kosovo civilians, the Serbian war crimes prosecutor’s office announced on Monday (January 17th). Ranko Momic was detained on Saturday based on an arrest warrant issued by Belgrade. He is in detention pending extradition. The Jackals allegedly killed at least 44 people in the village of Qyshk/Cuska in 1999.
