Greek PM is not optimistic for solving the name dispute between Athens and Skopje

Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou shown pessimism for solving the Macedonia’s name issue between Athens and Skopje. Papandreou said he expects Macedonia to be named after a geographic definition with wide-usage. In his words Greece supports efforts of UN mediator Matthew Nimitz but maintains the national strategy and the red lines.

“I could not say I am an optimistic about reaching an agreement although our demand because Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski and his government hesitate around our compromise for a name with geographic definition for wide usage”, the PM said.
