Moldova cannot have a visa-free regime with EU before 2012

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova Natalia German denied words of Prime Minister Vlad Filat, that Moldova would be granted a visa-free regime with the EU in 2012.

“The action plan for liberalising the visa regime will be fulfilled by the end of 2012. This does not mean, however, that visa will requirements will fall,” German commented. The visa liberalisation action plan does not envisage, by itself, the removal of visa requirements for Moldovan citizens.
