Moldova: mayoral elections to go into second round in two weeks

The second round of mayoral elections will take place in the municipality of Chisinau in two weeks. None of the candidates polled more than half of the vote in the June 5 elections. According to the results announced by the Central Election Commission (CEC) after counting 100% of the votes, Igor Dodon earned 48.07% of the ballot, while Dorin Chirtoaca – 46.51%.
